Maith Sibh

Well done to Senior Football management team and players on retaining Div 2 status yesterday, the win over Naomh Pól leaves us 5th in the league.

To date it has been a successful year for the clubs three senior teams, ( Ladies Football, Men's Football and Hurling), great to see young players come through to all the teams which is a credit to all the hard work carried out at juvenile level.
And we are still in the U21 football championship.

Antrim Minor Football Panel 2016

To enable preparations to be put in place to select the Minor Football panel for 2016, Clubs are requested to identify those players who they consider to have the potential to play at minor level for Antrim in 2016.
The names of those players and their positions should be forwarded to columbwalsh@btinternet.com by Monday 2 November.
It is suggested that clubs nominate a maximum of 5 players, however if a club believes that it has more than 5 players with the necessary potential they should contact Columb Walsh on 07803628408.

Dermot Mc Coy

It was with a sad heart that so many club people traveled to St Bernard's for the funeral of Dermot on Saturday past .The huge turn out was testament to the warmth of Dermot's personality and his kindness.

Dermot played Football for the club at all levels and was instrumental in establishing Gaelscoil Eanna, serving as the first Chairperson of Naiscoil Eanna.

Dermot was a character and a happy go lucky person, however as his friend I was also aware that he suffered from Depression, I would urge any club member suffering from Depression , to seek help with this illness, just as they would if they had a physical illness.

Groups like PIPS,Lighthouse are available, contact your GP or just speak to a family member or a friend.
We in the GAA are a family, like all families we have petty disagreements, but when the chips are down we pull together, please, please don't suffer in silence, talk to a team mate or a club member.
