Hi there, my wee lad (6yo) keeps asking me about trying football. I chatted to a few people and uncertain if the advertised u6 football training still ongoing at the club.

If anyone knows for sure please let me know...a lot of energy needs used up :)

Congratulations to Alicia Donaghy and Rose Sherlock who played on the Belfast Schools P7 team which defeated Dublin 33-17 on Friday, both playing at wing- back. A brilliant achievement for two of our great under 12s.

A chara,
There is a club shop in the Gaelscoil every Tuesday 8-9pm,
However it will not be open next week.
There is a Facebook page, but this is the main hub for our sports, community and club in general.

Send me a text if you would like to order some gear.

Go dté tú slán

Does the club sell the kit for 6-7 year olds?
Is there an official Facebook page?

And more good news!

Good luck to Katie, Claire, Molly and Aoife who are on the Antrim U14 Ladies Football team playing in the Ulster B Final on Saturday against Monaghan. The game is at Killeeshil, Co. Tyrone at 1.15.

It's another fantastic achievement for our club considering we are relatively new to Ladies Football. No club in Antrim has more players represented on the team and all the girls are still U13 this year. Next year, I am sure they will be joined by quite a few of their club mates.

Congratulations on your selection, girls, and good luck on Saturday! NEA!

St. Enda's Senior Ladies Result: NE 3:10 TO 3:5 Lamh Dhearg.
Unbeaten run for Senior Ladies continues to 6 and also extended their lead at top of table further, with another hard fought win against 2nd place Lamh Dhearg. A very tight game in poor conditions, the girls did very well and showed great character against a good Lamh Dhearg side.
Also big thank you to Áine Walsh who played her last game tonight before her move to London tomorrow, a valuable player and will be missed.
Scorers: Bronagh Meighan (1:4), Aoife McCullough (2:2), Maeve Higgins (0:1), Niamh Morgan (0:1), Eilis Crickard (0:1) Aine Walsh (0:1).

Naomh Éanna is a Host Club for Féile na nGael 2014. We are hosting a hurling Club from Cork – we are still waiting confirmation of what Club it is. There are 55 host hurling clubs throughout Ulster. Each club provides 15 Host Families in order to host a team for the Feile. A Host Family looks after two team members for two nights. We already have our Host Families in place but there will be much more to organise and we will need a lot of members to volunteer.

Féile na nGael is the GAA National Under 14 festival of hurling and camogie and, for the first time ever, Ulster is hosting the Féile na nGael. It takes place from Friday 20th June to Sunday 22nd June. The competition is sponsored by Bus Éireann. The opening ceremonies are at the Derry Centre of Excellence in Owenbeg and the Armagh Athletic Grounds on Friday 20th. There will be group games at all Host Clubs over the Friday and Saturday and the Finals are on Sunday at and the Tyrone Centre of Excellence at Garvaghy and at Owenbeg. St. Endas are competing in Division 3.

Each year as many as 25,000 children and parents from all 32 counties travel to Féile na nGael. Since 1971 over one million boys and girls have participated in this great festival. Féile has the primary objective of facilitating and enabling the personal, social and cultural development of young people. It also emphasises cultural and community activities, leadership and training through sport. It is recognised by the GAA as a major festival of great importance for the promotion of gaelic games among the youth of our country.
