Friday (Today), just past saw the finish of the annual Kellogg’s Cúl Camp at Naomh Éanna. As usual we had children aged 4-6years attend the Saffron Óg Camp and children aged 6-13 for the Cúl Camp.
Every year Naomh runs the Football Cúl Camp in the first week of July and the hurling Cúl Camp in the first week of August, this year we are delighted to announce that this year’s camp has been the biggest in County Antrim, a total 230 children, up on last year’s attendance.
The annual Cúl Camp draws children from all the local schools and beyond, with most of the children currently members of Naomh Éanna.
As part of the ongoing development of Naomh Éanna, the club ensures that the coaching levels are of the highest standards and to achieve this each coach completes a number of courses before the camp begins, with coaches coming from within club structures and ranging from Seniors, U21 and Minor age groups the emphasis on good standards is ensured.
This year’s coaching team had a number of current County footballers, notable CJ McGourty and our very own Peter Healy and Odhrán Eastwood. We are delighted that this year’s camp has been a huge success for everyone and we look forward with anticipation for the Hurling Camp in August.
