Peil na nÓg | Juvenile Football

The club caters for young footballers from U6 through to U18 (minor).

The u6 football is the nursery of the very sizeable juvenile football section of the club and young footballers are coached in the basic skills and compete in many Go-Games football blitzes throughout Antrim.

In recent years they, along with the U6, U8 U10 & U12 footballers have been very successful in these blitzes and is a testament to the coaching delivered.

The main competition for the footballers lies in the South West Antrim Football Leagues and Championships for U12 – Minor, where as a club we joined in 2008.

This move the the SW Antrim GAA has enabled us to compete regularly against consistently strong and traditional footballing clubs. As a result we have gained a reputation of playing football to a very high skill level and with success at all levels of competition.

The most recent successes include in 2011 the U14 footballers winning the prestigious All Ireland Feile title in Cork, and that team (as U16s) in 2013 captured the SW Championship, League, the All County Championship and the Ulster (Paul McGirr) Championship playing a brand of football that has been admired the length and breadth of Ireland.

All these juvenile teams are trained and coached by qualified and experienced coaches. We hope that many of these young players come through the juvenile systems in the club and the various County development Squads and minor teams, and go to represent Naomh Éanna and the County at senior level.

Thanks for visiting and of course if you want to play football for Naomh Éanna then come along and join us, you are more than welcome.
