Naomh Éanna u16 Hurling report 19th August 2019

Naomh Éanna u16 hurlers put in an epic second half performance and marched on to another victory in the league.

The Hightown men have already secured the All County and North Antrim Championships; and are chasing the league title which is now within touching distance.

Despite being dominant in the first half Naomh Éanna hit 7 wides and were wasteful in possession at times. The home side were more clinical and went in at half time one point up.

HT NB 2-8 NÉ 3-5

Naomh Éanna demanded more of themselves during the half time interval with senior players leading the initial team talk.

The second half was a fantastic display of hurling with two top sides giving it their all and playing with great spirit and determination.

Conor McAllister; Ciarán McAllister and Colm Curran stood out - each putting in fantastic shifts.

They say that goals win games and Naomh Éanna were clinical in front of goal drilling in another 4 in the second period.

The final score was 6-8 (26) to 2-12 (18) to Naomh Éanna with goals from Oisín Quinn (2); Ronan Eagar (2); Patrick Gray; Ryan Noble

Next up is Lavey at home on Monday the 26th August - all support welcome!
